Lawn care for Perth lawns

Perth lawns live on sand, which means feeding and wetting agents aren't optional — they're the whole game. We stock WA-formulated fertilisers, soil wetters, lawn seed and top-dress accessories, timed to what your lawn needs each season.

Spring is the big one: wetter first, then feed, then a light top-dress. Do those three in October and the lawn coasts through summer on less water.

What we stock

  • Granular lawn fertilisers (WA formulations)
  • Soil wetting agents — the Perth essential
  • Lawn seed and repair blends
  • Iron and micronutrient supplements
  • Spreaders and hose-on applicators

FAQs

Lawn Care — questions

When should I fertilise my lawn in Perth?
Feed in early spring (September–October) and again in autumn — little and often beats one heavy hit, which mostly leaches straight through sand. Always water in well and mind fertiliser bans near waterways.
Do I really need a wetting agent?
On Perth sand, yes — twice a year. If water beads or runs off dry patches instead of soaking in, that's hydrophobic sand, and no amount of extra sprinkler time fixes it as cheaply as a wetter does.
Why is my lawn yellow even though I water and feed it?
In Perth it's often iron deficiency in alkaline sand, especially near new limestone or concrete — an iron supplement greens it up fast. If it's patchy rather than uniform, check sprinkler coverage first.
